What do we do?
The DMT – Dosing and Mixing Technology division was created by the SMA Group in 2020, a year that will certainly be remembered as one of the most challenging for international business.
While possible scenarios were getting gloomier and gloomier, we forced ourselves to spot the light at the end of the tunnel. That is when the DMT – Dosing and Mixing Technology was conceived.
In close collaboration with adhesive manufacturers, we focused on customers’ necessities in order to provide the best solutions when it comes to processing epoxy and polyurethane resins.
The research work that we have carried out, allows us to share the expertise that lies behind our technology and engineering, so that today we can offer support also to those customers with little or no experience, and help their business thrive.
As we are aware of how critical it can be to handle extremely variable viscosities and wide mixing ratios, we can offer both standard and customized solutions.
Our latest R&D activities have led us to make specific choices on the use of dosing pumps and mixing units, which, in our opinion, represent the heart of the machine configuration.

Dosing Unit with Gear Pumps for 2K Resins
Model: DMT-DSM
Dosing unit with gear pumps and transfer pumps for direct suction from drums or cans.
It features an intuitive control board, through which mixing ratio can be varied. The machine is suitable for dosing via pedal or via start button, and it is equipped with pressure switched and a dosing valve featuring an anti-drop system.
Dosing Unit for 2K Resins
Model: DMT-DLC
New generation dosing unit for the proportioning of resins; pumps allow to dispense the product at a maximum outlet pressure of 20bar. Upon request, it is possible to install 60/80Bar pumps. The machine is CNC/PLC controlled, for the handling of mixing ratio between component A and B. Mixing is via static mixer.

Dosing Unit with Insulated Box for 2K Resins
Model: DMT-DMV
Volumetric proportioning machine that uses eccentric screw pumps; for numerous applications. 200/250kg drums of resin are stored in an insulated box; piston pumps extract the product and transfer it into flux regulators and stabilisers, screw pumps then dose the product. The mixing unit is composed of a head block, made of aluminium and a valve featuring an anti-drop system.
This machine is controlled by a 7” multifunction operator interface that manages dosing parameters, ratio be- tween component A and component B, and dispensing mode of the product.
For large-scale production, a buffer rotary table with 8 to 12 workstations can be installed to operate continuously.
Cartesian Dosing Robot for 2K Resins
Model: DMT-BIC
Cartesian dosing robot, with 3-axis interpolation.
The machine is equipped with ball bearing linear guides and screws. Dispensing is via dynamic mixing unit. Positioning accuracy is 0.02mm.
Featuring a 15” operator panel, the operator can store +999 working recipes. This machine can host the automatic tray supply feeder and/or a curing oven.
Possiblility to cast both epoxy and PU resins, regardless of mixing ratio or product viscosities, with extreme precision and dosing accuracy.
Dosing Unit for 2K Resins
Model: DMT-DSA
Dosing unit for two-component resins.
This machine is useful for the proportioning of resins with different levels of viscosity; it can vary from 1 CPS to 1,000,000 CPS. It is equipped with screw pumps that can dose the products with a ±1% tolerance on the set value.
The machine is controlled via a CNC PLC featuring a 2-axis interpolation for the handling of pumps and dispensing methods.
Benchtop Dosing Unit for 2K Resins
Model: DMT-DMP/G
DMT-DMP/G is a benchtop dosing and dispensing unit for 2-component resins.
Easy to use, this dosing unit is light and very versatile. Two potentiometers allow to set mixing ratio be- tween component A and B.
Equipped with transfer pumps that extract products directly from drums or pails.
Dispensing is performed via two gear pumps, controlled by open-loop brushless servos.
Outlet pressure can be verified via 2 gauges.
Adaptable to the casting of different products; it is equipped with a static mixing unit, controlled via a dos- ing valve featuring an anti-drop system.
Dispensing can be performed either via real-time or via timer.
Cartesian Robot
Model: DMT-RCDS
Cartesian robot featuring 2-axis interpolation.
This is a highly productive, extremely versatile machine; it can reach up to 20 metres/minute.
The machine is controlled via CNC for the handling of interpolation speed; positioning accuracy is about 0.1/0.2 mm.
This system can be integrated with most of our dosing units currently available.

It is equipped with stainless steel tanks, from which transfer pump extract the products.
This machine is useful for the proportioning of resins with different levels of viscosity; it can vary from 1 CPS to 1,000,000 CPS.
